Google Chrome Os, And Why You Won't Like it, And I Will

I'm not going to go into the technical aspects of the OS. Cause you don't care, but this is what we do know thus far. Starting next year there will be a lightweight OS on net book computers blah blah blah. Lets get straight to the point, I love google, but Chrome OS is going to fail, and here's why.

If you don't currently use everything google has to offer, then you will not be happy with what they are going to do with the OS. They are going to go towards the cloud computing. Basically, If you don't store your pictures on Picasa, don't type your papers and do your work presentations/spread sheets with google docs, and you don't upload all your video to YouTube. YOU WILL NOT LIKE IT. It is going to be made for net books. There is none-little storage on these. And for this type of OS you don't need it. But its something a lot of people feel they can not live with out.

Don't get me wrong, I believe that its going to be a great operating system, and I promise I will be downloading it on day one and deleting the Windows off of my machine. But don't expect it to be the Windows killer the rest of the tech world is talking about.

This is not the end of my Google Chrome OS Talk. But for now Ill leave you with that, think about it, if you disagree, let me know.

p.s. long live GOOGLE

Welcome to the Machine,
Joshua A. Hardt
