Steve Rogers is Captain America, Not Will Smith

Hi everyone, Josh here,
If you follow me on twitter you probably seen my spaz out yesterday over the news that Will Smith is being considered to play Marvels Captain America.(Click here for the story)or here
Now I am definitely NOT trying to play the race card, but! the first thing I thought was . . . . .  Captain America is white, Steve Rogers is white, Will Smith is black. That is not to say a black man could not play Captain America , because plenty of others have taken the captain america shield over the years, Including; Bucky Barnes, Roscoe, Scar Turpin, and the black Captain America Isaiah Bradley
Yes Will Smith Could play the Isaiah Bradley Version of Cap. But! everything that has been release about the movie thus far has said the movie is going to take place during WWII. Steve Rogers was Captain America During WWII. Sure in Truth: Red, White, & Black, They claim that Isaiah was the original cap, but he was the original because he was an experiment of the super soldier serum. The original official Captain America (dating all the way back to Timely magazine, before marvel bought the rights to cap) Is Steve Rogers! And if we go back to any version of Captain America and look at any comic version of WWII The Invaders (click here for more on the invaders) Which was lead by Steve Rogers aka Captain America.
Not Isaiah Bradley. And even if they don't go off of the original story line, Steve Rogers has been captain america for what I'd say has been 85% of the time since Cap was created, so it'd be foolish to have some one play a different version of cap than the Steve Rogers version.

All I'm saying is Will Smith CAN NOT be Captain America,
it would not be write for cap to not be Steve Rogers, and it would not be right for Steve Rogers to be Black. This has nothing to do with race, it has everything to do with history and tradition.

Welcome to the Machine,
Joshua A. Hardt
